Destin FL

Last weekend after graduation we went to Florida for a couple nights.  The Army resort down there is pretty nice and it's a lot more affordable than trying to find a hotel.  Plus, Bubba was allowed (although we regretted bringing him in the first half hour of our drive down).  It was way too cold to lay out on the beach and the second day was overcast so that kind of stunk, but we still had a good time.  We found a few fun, local restaurants and there were outlets nearby.  I grabbed a pair of maternity capris since I realized once we got there that I should have retired my regular jeans weeks ago even with the belly band :\
Dogs aren't allowed on the beaches even on leash so we were lucky to find out that there was a pier with steps on our resort that they allow dogs to go in the water.  Bubba loved swimming.  We spent probably half of our time letting him retrieve the ball and go on walks.  He's so spoiled.

MCCC Graduation

Quinn graduated a couple weeks ago from the school that we came down here for all along.  It was a pretty nice 6 months.  He was home early most days and didn't have a ton to do.  It's going to be a big change in NY.  I've heard from a few people up there that they are in the field a ton so I'm going to take this break while I can get it!  He didn't get into a class he was on a wait list for so he's been home a lot now too.  After checking in at 9am he comes home for the day.  I'm planning on putting him to work this weekend and early next week to get our stuff all figured out before the movers show up.  Anyway, here are a couple pictures from his graduation:

Baby 20 Weeks

We had our 20 week scan.  Baby is measuring a week ahead and on the bigger side in general.  Quinn was over 8lbs so there's a possibility we'll have a big baby I guess.  Everything looks good.  We head up to NY in a few weeks so I'll need to find a doctor up there, but I'm glad we were able to get this ultrasound done here.  Here's a picture from yesterday!

Spartan Sprint

We headed to Atlanta last weekend for Quinn to participate in a mud run with Kristin and Jamal and a few of their friends.  Kristin and Jamal came all the way from Savannah just for the day.  It was so fun seeing them.  I was kind of on kid duty since everyone else was running in two different heats.  I was supposed to run too but decided to sit out because of the obvious baby in my belly (as you can see from the picture below).  It was a really fun day and everyone did awesome.  They all finished in the top 1%.  Here are a few pics from the day!

Baby on Board...

It's true.  I'm about 17 weeks along now and I finally feel comfortable letting everyone know :)
We are getting ready for a move in about 5 weeks so I've been trying to stay busy with figuring out what to purge before everything gets packed.  Our plan is to live on post, but it's not guaranteed so we're just keeping our fingers crossed that within the 60 day waiting period we are offered a house.  After we figure out the housing situation it will just be a waiting period for this little monster to show up.
Baby O insists on facing forward for every ultrasound.  Pretty much all I have are the scary face shots.  Oh well.  At least I know the baby is ready to take some pictures.  O also decided that he/she would like to stay in one tiny section instead of stretching out so for most of the ultrasound he/she was folded in half in the corner.  Crazy baby.
I haven't had too many issues.  I just find that I'm tired all the time and don't have a lot of motivation to do much.  I'm trying to break that now that I've hit the second trimester (and have gained 10 lbs!).  No cravings so far except anything that I see on tv (although I haven't given in to any of that yet).  I'm still at the stage where I just look like I've eaten way too many burgers.  I'm kind of excited to have a real belly soon so when I pick up Cinnamon Toast Crunch or Doritos people aren't judging me as much :)
Here's one of our pictures from our last ultrasound...Smile!
