I went to the city last Friday for a birthday party. A guy I ran track with in high school was having a party for his girlfriend at this lounge called Duvet. Yes it had beds all over the place. I was a little grossed out at the thought of what could possibly be on those beds that I couldn't see, but it was a really upscale looking place and the prices reflected that. We had a good time though!

Birthday Excitement

So we went to Jose Tejas for dinner yesterday. It was good. My family thought it would be a great idea to do the whole 'have the waiters come over and sing' thing. Always my favorite part of the night :) I get really embarrassed with stuff like that. We had a good time. When we were leaving it was pretty clear that my grandmother wasn't doing well. We ended up going to the emergency room with her because she was in the beginning stages of congestive heart failure again (this happened about a month and a half ago too). We all went over to the hospital. She's doing well now. She's as stable as any 86 year old can be under the circumstances. They're still running some tests because she's been losing blood too. Don't know what it all is for sure but at least she's in the hospital so hopefully she'll do a little better there.

My grandmother kicked us all out because she was mad I was spending my birthday in the emergency room. When we found out she was ok I went with Allison, Erin, Dan (my sisters and my older sister's bf), Vanessa, and Jim to a local bar to get a drink. It was fun. Nothing too crazy. We just sat at the bar for an hour or two and left. It turned out to be a pretty crazy night.
